The hyperbaric oxygen chamber is large and hard-sided. It is 8 feet long by 3.5 feet tall on the inside. The chamber door is closed from the inside as the pressure increases inside. The chamber is filled with air to reach the desired pressure, anywhere from 1.3 to 3.0 atmospheres of absolute pressure. An oxygen mask is worn, and the client breathes 100% oxygen during his or her session, which is usually 60-90 minutes long.
